Job Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned technical leader to drive the development of complex data initiatives using agile methodologies.

  • This role involves providing technical guidance and expertise to a cross-disciplinary team, with a focus on designing and architecting scalable, efficient, and secure data solutions.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in people leadership and mentoring, as well as a strong understanding of SQL, Python, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data modeling.

  • Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, Apache Beam, AWS Glue, and GCP Cloud Functions are also desirable skills.

Bonus points for experience with Big Query, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, Python libraries (Pandas, Requests, JSON), Docker, Kafka, Linux shell scripting, Git/GitHub, AWS (S3, Lambda, IaC), Airflow, Interacting with REST APIs.

The purpose of the Commercial Data team in Advertising is to develop leading property and market data insights to power Real Commercial products. This squad sits in the Real Commercial tribe, the #1 place for commercial property and data in Australia.

  1. End-to-end technical delivery of complex initiatives using agile methods and frameworks working with cross-disciplinary teams.
  2. Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team, serving as a subject matter expert in data engineering and related technologies.
  3. Contribute to the design and architecture of scalable, efficient, and secure data solutions.

You will be responsible for:

  • Providing technical leadership and guidance to the team.
  • Designing and architecting scalable, efficient, and secure data solutions.
  • Leading development teams using Agile, Lean, and/or iterative releasing.
  • Knowledge of delivery approaches such as TDD, CI, and infrastructure automation.
