Industrial Design Internship Opportunity

About this role:

We are seeking an Industrial Design Intern to join our dynamic team. As an intern, you will be involved in the entire design process, from concept to prototyping and production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Conceptualisation: Assist in sketching new product concepts and refining design ideas.
  • 3D CAD Modelling: Develop 3D CAD models using industry-standard design software.
  • Visualisation: Create high-quality renders to visualise product aesthetics and functionality.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineers to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet customer requirements.
  • Prototyping: Assist in creating prototypes and testing to validate design concepts.
  • Research and Development: Conduct research on materials, ergonomics, and design trends to enhance product innovation.

Requirements:

  • Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, Mechanical Design, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Autodesk Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Rhino, or similar).
  • Strong sketching and visualization skills.
  • Basic knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and prototyping techniques.
  • Attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with design tools like Fusion or Keyshot.
  • Hands-on experience with prototyping tools (3D printing, metal prototyping, etc.).
  • Passion for problem-solving and customer-centric design.
