Corporate Attorney Role Overview

The role of Corporate Attorney involves providing authoritative legal guidance on corporate governance, commercial matters, and contractual issues to support business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and negotiate commercial contracts, master service agreements, statements of work, non-disclosure agreements, and vendor agreements to secure mutually beneficial relationships.
  • Provide strategic advice on compliance, employment, and regulatory matters to ensure alignment with industry best practices.
  • Support business teams in client negotiations and enable seamless deal closures by providing expert guidance and technical expertise.
  • Ensure adherence to data protection laws and international standards (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.) to safeguard client interests.
  • Manage legal risks and proactively provide strategic advice to leadership to drive business growth and mitigate potential liabilities.
  • Liaise with external counsel for litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution to protect the organization's interests.
  • Develop policies, processes, and compliance frameworks for global operations to foster a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Conduct internal training and awareness sessions on compliance and legal best practices to enhance knowledge sharing and collaboration.

Requirements:

  • Possess a degree in law (LLB/LLM) from a reputable institution.
  • Hold at least 5 years of post-qualification experience in corporate law, preferably in IT services or consulting organizations.
  • Display strong expertise in contract drafting and negotiation with international clients.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with labor, and employment laws to provide comprehensive support.
  • Exhibit excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills to excel in a fast-paced, global environment.
