Job Title:

Oracle Taxation Specialist

As a seasoned Oracle taxation specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy of tax calculations and seamless system operations across multiple jurisdictions.

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in indirect taxation, including sales & use tax, VAT, GST, and withholding tax across different jurisdictions. Strong technical troubleshooting capabilities are essential to ensure accurate tax determinations.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot Vertex Tax Calculation Rules, Tax Jurisdictions, and Product Taxability Assignments
  • Support ERP integrations with Vertex (e.g., Oracle Fusion and internal systems)
  • Ensure accuracy of tax rates, exemptions, and tax determinations
  • Manage Tax Configuration, Tax Categories, and Exemption Certificates within Vertex
  • Support Tax Reporting and Compliance, including generating reports for tax filing and audit purposes

This role requires receiving, analyzing, and prioritizing related support tickets, providing timely solutions to users, documenting resolution steps and knowledge base articles, and supporting system upgrades and patches.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Perform SQL & Data Analysis by querying ERP and Vertex databases for tax calculations, transaction history, and reconciliation
  • Troubleshoot ERP-Vertex integration issues including debugging tax calculation
