Job Description

At our R&D team, we seek a UAV Design Engineer to conceptualize and design UAV airframes and sub-systems. The ideal candidate must have strong experience in aircraft design, aerodynamics, CAD modeling, and systems integration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of UAV airframe designs, integrating various systems for optimal performance.
  • Perform comprehensive aerodynamic analysis and optimization of UAV configurations.
  • Design structural components and assemblies using advanced materials and techniques.
  • Develop detailed 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings.
  • Collaborate with electronics, propulsion, and software teams for seamless system integration.
  • Validate design performance through structural and thermal analysis (FEA, CFD).
  • Participate in UAV prototyping, assembly, ground testing, and flight trials.
  • Document design processes, BOMs, and ensure regulatory compliance for airworthiness.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and design methodologies in UAV systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in UAV or aircraft design.
  • Proficiency in CAD software.
  • Strong understanding of aerodynamics, flight mechanics, and structural design.
  • Experience with composite materials and UAV fabrication techniques.
  • Familiarity with rapid prototyping, 3D printing, and manufacturing processes.
  • Hands-on experience with flight testing and UAV system integration is a plus.
  • Knowledge of FEA/CFD tools is desirable.
