We are seeking an experienced Register-Transfer Level Engineer to fill a critical role at our company.

This position is responsible for designing and implementing high-performance digital logic circuits using VHDL/Verilog RTL coding.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customer requirements and specifications, defining DSP, System, and Board architecture.
  • Take ownership of projects from concept to delivery, identifying risks, dependencies, creating mitigation plans, tracking project schedules, and conducting design reviews.
  • Partition algorithms for implementation in FPGA and/or software, identifying building blocks and signal processing functions.
  • Provide estimates on FPGA resources, computation bandwidth, and memory bandwidth.
  • Create module-level details from architecture, coding, simulation, and peer reviews, applying design, verification, or validation methodologies.
  • Define, create, and maintain project-related documentation, especially design documents with detailed analysis reports.
  • Support customers during integration phases at test sites and assist production teams.
Professional Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of VHDL.
  • Experience with Xilinx tools for synthesis and implementation.
  • Thorough understanding of Xilinx FPGAs.
  • Functional simulation expertise.
  • Hardware design skills, including logic design and debugging.
  • FPGA design expertise, including VHDL/Verilog RTL coding, System C/System Verilog.
  • Proficiency in FPGA synthesis and PAR tools.
  • Experience implementing DSP algorithms in FPGA environments for Radar and Electronic Warfare systems.
  • Ability to model algorithms in Octave/MATLAB, generate test vectors, and visualize data.
  • Working knowledge of interfacing with ADCs and DACs and interpreting their performance.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with configuration/version control tools like SVN.
