Cloud Data Engineer Job Description

A Data Architect for Cloud Data Pipelines is needed to design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines for processing channel activity data.

This role involves working on AWS cloud infrastructure and orchestration tools like Airflow for high availability, scalability, and performance.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines for digital channels and integrating multiple sources of data.
  • Leveraging Python for automated data engineering solutions and data transformations.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams for effective data ingestion and processing.
  • Contributing to architecture decisions related to data lakes, warehouses, and big data ecosystems.
  • Ensuring data quality, governance, and integrity across all data systems.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Data Engineering: Proven experience working in greenfield environments.
  • AWS: Strong hands-on experience with Pyspark, Glue, EMR, lambda, Redshift, Athena, EC2, S3.
  • Python: Proficiency in Python for data processing, automation, pipeline development.
  • Big Data Platforms: Experience with Hadoop, Terradata.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse and interpret data from different digital channels.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex data-related challenges.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills for documentation and collaboration.
