Key Responsibilities of the SAP Functional Consultant Role

The role encompasses a range of critical tasks that demand exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills. Key responsibilities include:

  • Data Integration: Configuration and management of data flows, mappings, and scripts within the Customer Interaction Centre for Data Services (CI-DS) to facilitate seamless data transfer between Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and other systems.
  • Troubleshooting: Identification, diagnosis, and resolution of issues related to integration workflows and data quality, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption.
  • Business Process Design: Active involvement in business process design, analysis of requirements, and development of functional solutions (Blueprints) for various business processes.
  • SAP Module Development: Design, configuration, development, and implementation of SAP functional modules, adhering to established standards and best practices.
  • Functional Specifications: Creation of functional specifications for reports, interfaces, enhancements, workflow, and forms, ensuring clarity and consistency.
  • Configuration Experience: Proficiency in all IBP modules, including time series and order series planning, with a strong understanding of data modeling and analytics.
  • Project Activities: Management of project activities, including design discussions, coordination with multiple streams for integration processes, cutover activities, and other key milestones.

Skills and Requirements:

  • SAP Skills: In-depth experience with SAP CI-DS and integration with SAP IBP, as well as proficiency in relevant tools and technologies.
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues in a timely manner.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Teamwork: Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, fostering strong relationships and collaboration.

The ideal candidate will possess 6+ years of experience in providing consulting services on Integrated Business Planning. They must have a strong track record of handling project activities, including design discussions, coordination with multiple streams for integration processes, and cutover activities. Self-motivated individuals with exceptional follow-through skills are highly valued.
