Job Description

The role of a Solution Designer encompasses service design including technical design, functionality, configuration, performance, and quality of Next Generation LAN and WLAN solutions.

This is a global position enabling the upcoming IT digitalization by preparing the Network to meet business needs.

As a key member of the team, you will drive Nokia's digital journey to increase the company's performance and competitiveness.

Responsibilities
  • Align solutions with IT infrastructure architecture and Nokia IT security requirements.
  • Design solutions that meet Nokia business requirements, deployable and supportable by service providers.
  • Manage the design of LAN/WLAN solutions, guiding the IT service providers' technical solution team, performing necessary acceptance, and assuring quality after implementation.
  • Collaborate with Nokia Cyber Security, Business Stakeholders, IT Infrastructure Architects, and Service Owner, performing and validating requirements analysis, preparing demand requests to providers, and evaluating technical solution proposals from service providers.
  • Work directly with Nokia products used internally (ION, NSP), providing access network services to the company.
Key Skills and Qualifications

You Possess:

  • Bachelor's degree or engineering degree in Telecommunications/Information Technology/Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 8-10+ years' experience in network services, deep knowledge of, and management in complex environments.
  • Certified candidates with CCNP(R&S) or CCNP(wireless) or knowledge in Nokia products will have added advantages.
  • Deep technical knowledge and understanding of LAN and WLAN technologies and monitoring tools.
  • Working experience of Tools (Aruba Airwave, Moogsoft, Nokia NSP, etc.), processes, support team's coordination.

It would be beneficial if you also had:

  • Knowledge of Nokia ION hardware and software is helpful.
  • Capable of understanding and solving independently complex issues related to LAN, WLAN, and office connectivity in often ambiguous circumstances.
