Nucleic Acid Synthesis Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a Nucleic Acid Synthesis Specialist to lead oligonucleotide synthesis and analytics for our cutting-edge therapeutic and diagnostic programs.

This is a pivotal role where you will be responsible for scaling synthesis to mmol level with high coupling efficiency, purifying and characterizing oligos using various techniques, and maintaining lab instrumentation and safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in a relevant field and 2-5 years of experience in oligonucleotide synthesis and analysis.

Additionally, they should have a strong foundation in phosphoramidite chemistry, purification, and analytics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Automate solid-phase synthesis processes
  • Scale synthesis to mmol level with high coupling efficiency
  • Purify and characterize oligos using HPLC, PAGE, CE, LC-MS, UV-Vis, and MS
  • Maintain lab instrumentation, inventory, safety, and SOPs
  • Drive cross-functional method development and QC initiatives
Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. in a relevant field
  • 2-5 years of experience in oligonucleotide synthesis and analysis
  • Strong foundation in phosphoramidite chemistry, purification, and analytics
  • Bonus: experience with modified or therapeutic oligos, digital PCR/BEAMing
