Job Overview:

The objective of this role is to spearhead and manage the credit evaluation and control function, ensuring timely collection of receivables, minimizing credit risk, and maintaining healthy cash flow while supporting business growth and customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management & Governance
    • Direct and oversee a team of experienced credit controllers across head office and regional offices.
    • Define and implement credit control strategies and procedures (credit limits, policies) to effectively manage the divisional credit exposure.
    • Establish governance mechanisms and define key performance indicators for monitoring the performance of the credit evaluation and control function.
  • Cash Flow & Financial Coordination
    • Collaborate with the finance department to ensure healthy cash flow for the division, while driving return on capital employed and working capital optimization.
    • Improve the accuracy of receivables forecasting and reduce days sales outstanding through data-driven decision-making.
  • Reporting & Analytics
    • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for leadership, RSMs, and ZSMs to enable informed decision-making.
    • Publish relevant reports and fact sheets as per leadership requirements.
  • Operational Oversight
    • Coach and support the credit evaluation and control team in managing day-to-day activities using accounts receivable solutions.
    • Expedite the collection of doubtful debts through a defined escalation process and timely exception handling.
