Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to join our Global Merchant and Network Services Compliance organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in regulatory compliance, with a focus on acquiring and payments regulation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert compliance advice and challenge to the business on the design and implementation of new products, customer interactions, processes, and controls to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. They will also be expected to build proactive relationships with merchants, sales teams, and other stakeholders to ensure local market and enterprise requirements are considered in the first-line control environment.

This role requires a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and the ability to convey regulatory intent and risk to first-line teams. Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain a comprehensive compliance program for the Global Merchant Services business in APAC
- Provide expert compliance advice and challenge to the business on the design and implementation of new products, customer interactions, processes, and controls to comply with all applicable laws and regulations
- Collaborate with internal teams to implement new regulations impacting the Global Merchant Services business and remediation activities as required
- Conduct ongoing activities related to compliance risk management, including assessment and monitoring of compliance risk and execution of the Compliance Risk Assessment process
- Identify and mitigate compliance risks associated with new products, customer interactions, processes, and controls
- Develop and implement effective compliance policies, procedures, and controls to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements

Requirements

- Experience working in a second-line compliance function
- Proven ability to understand legal and regulatory requirements and convey regulatory intent and risk to first-line teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate compliance risks
- Self-motivated, energetic team player with a proven ability to work effectively in a matrix organization and across international markets with all levels of management
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to develop effective compliance policies, procedures, and controls
- Bachelor's degree and/or compliance/legal qualification
