Key Responsibilities

Design and implement advanced reinforcement learning (RL) algorithms to improve autonomous operation in multiple domains.

Develop and train policies from human demonstrations and teleoperation data, ensuring safe and efficient deployment.

Implement long-horizon planners using world models and uncertainty-aware control to achieve robust performance.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate RL policies with control systems, ensuring seamless integration.

Conduct thorough testing and evaluation to ensure policies generalize well in real-world settings.

Apply reward design principles to optimize policy performance and adapt to changing environments.

Requirements
  • 4-8+ years of experience in RL and control systems, with a strong focus on model predictive control (MPC), control barrier functions (CBFs), or similar methods.
  • Master's or PhD in Robotics, Control, AI, or a related field, with a solid understanding of sim-to-real transfer, offline RL, and behavioral cloning.
  • Experience working with multi-agent reinforcement learning, hierarchical options, and diffusion policies is a plus.
Domain Expertise

Humanoids: Focus on stable locomotion and bimanual task reinforcement learning.

AGVs (Autonomous Ground Vehicles): Develop navigation capabilities for mixed human zones, traffic rule compliance, and aisle etiquette.

Cars: Implement interactive merges, handle unprotected turns, and enable safe navigation in dynamic traffic.

Drones: Achieve wind-robust flight, safe landing and perching maneuvers.
