Backend Software Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Backend Software Engineer to join our engineering team. As a key member, you will be responsible for building server-side web application functionality and back-end components that connect the application to other web services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing scalable code that ensures high performance and responsiveness
  • Creating programs with complex logic that integrate front-end work
  • Supporting server elements and ensuring data security
  • Developing solutions for efficient data storage and retrieval
  • Improving server infrastructure and implementing cybersecurity measures
  • Designing and deploying high-performance applications
  • Implementing best practices in cybersecurity and data protection
  • Writing clean, reusable code that meets requirements
  • Integrating server-side logic into user-facing components
  • Running tests, fixing issues, and providing technical support

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field with a focus on backend technologies
  • 2+ years of practical experience in developing Node.js code
  • In-depth understanding of creating and deploying server-side applications
  • Deep knowledge of JavaScript language features and methodology
  • Ability to ensure updated security measures are in place
  • Knowledge to create test suites and diagnose flaws in code
  • Ability to ensure server-side code properly interfaces with databases
  • Possess deep understanding of server technologies and tools
  • Adequate testing skills and experience with REST, MySQL/PostgreSQL, WebSocket, MongoDB, Redis, and other technologies
  • Possess working knowledge of JavaScript, web stacks, libraries, and frameworks

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Node.js development
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and database management
  • Knowledge of web development frameworks and libraries
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Adequate communication and teamwork skills
