Job Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Fund Accounting professional to lead our accounting team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, managing cross-functional initiatives, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Accountabilities and Main Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Focus: Develop and implement process improvements, enhance team efficiency, and drive business growth through thought leadership and innovation.
  • Project Management: Lead complex projects to streamline fund administration processes, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Support Senior Leadership: Collaborate with senior leaders to adopt and execute overall strategy, including accounting review standards and best practices.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to ensure the integrity of our financial operations.
Operational Management:
  • Client Service Delivery: Maintain exceptional client service levels, reviewing client reports and financial statements to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Technical Oversight: Ensure adherence to US GAAP and IFRS, manage technical research, and provide expert guidance to the team.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of all accounting review activities, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Problem Solving: Analyze and resolve complex technical accounting issues, providing innovative solutions to drive business success.
People Leadership:
  • Team Leadership: Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to the accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Performance Management: Establish and monitor KPIs, conduct employee performance reviews, and promote professional growth and development.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Chartered Accountant / Master's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or Finance.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Fund Accounting within the financial services industry, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead a medium-sized team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
