Overview

PepsiCo is a leading food and beverage company with a global portfolio of diverse and beloved brands. We are seeking a highly skilled Mobile QA Lead to join our dynamic team and contribute to the success of our digital products.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive testing of mobile applications and microservices across various platforms to identify defects, inconsistencies, and performance issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop test plans, test cases, and test strategies that align with project requirements and goals.
  • Perform manual and automated testing of mobile applications to validate functionality, usability, compatibility, and performance.
  • Document and track defects, perform root cause analysis, and work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
  • Execute regression testing to verify bug fixes and enhancements, ensuring the overall stability of the application.
  • Evaluate the user interface, navigation, and overall user experience of mobile applications, providing insights for improvement.
  • Conduct load, stress, and performance testing to identify potential bottlenecks and ensure optimal application performance.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using industry-standard tools to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.
  • Work closely with developers, designers, and product managers to understand application functionality and user requirements.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and review meetings to provide testing insights.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in mobile QA. Proactively suggest process improvements to enhance QA methodologies and practices.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior QA team members, sharing your knowledge and expertise to foster a culture of continuous learning.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Expertise in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
  • 6+ years of experience in automation tools like Appium, WebdriverIO, Selenium, TestNG, Maven, Git, Jenkins, SOAP UI, JavaScript, XPaths.
  • Proficiency in functional testing, test case creation, and defect tracking.
  • Strong understanding of mobile testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Expertise in practical knowledge of debugging tools on web and mobile platforms.
  • Experience with API automation testing and exposure to REST API frameworks.
  • Strong experience in integration testing (SIT) and ability to understand system/data flow architecture.
  • Good experience working with SQL and large volumes of data.
  • Experience with continuous integration (preferably Azure).
  • Thorough understanding of the role and the place of QA in SDLC, testing processes, and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of white box testing (nice to have).
  • Exposure to device farms like BrowserStack and SauceLabs.
  • Experience working in distributed teams (nice to have).
  • Good understanding of SOLID design principles and performance testing principles.
  • Working knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
  • Expert in implementing and optimizing agile development and continuous integration/continuous delivery methodologies.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with regional and global partners in other functional units.
