Lead Data Migration Specialist

Job Overview:

Our organization seeks an experienced data migration specialist to oversee the end-to-end execution of complex data migration projects. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and involves serving as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy data assets for deployment or local migration projects.
  • Collaborate with business owners, functional experts, ETL teams, legacy system teams, and deployment teams.
  • Drive migration activities for deployment projects.
  • Verify data transformation tools and outputs for deployment wave projects.
  • Manage DMW load file preparation and perform initial verification.
  • Execute DVT scripts and support defect/hypercare incident resolution for assigned data objects.
  • Coordinate defect resolution or escalate to senior experts as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of ERP project implementation experience with strong data migration expertise.
  • Proven experience in data migration execution across multi-country, multi-system environments.
  • Hands-on knowledge of SAP BODS.
  • Strong understanding of GxP and CSV requirements.
  • SAP Certified in at least one relevant functional area.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a global, matrix-based organization.
  • Strategic and hands-on mindset with experience running meetings, tracking progress, and managing issues.
  • Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
