Senior Application Security Engineer Position

Job Description

As a Senior Application Security Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting regular security assessments to identify vulnerabilities in applications and working with development teams to design secure software systems. You will also conduct penetration testing and security audits as required.

You will work closely with software developers, systems administrators, and other IT professionals to ensure that security is integrated into the application development process from the start. This includes developing and maintaining documentation of application security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proficient in multiple programming languages
  • Advanced understanding of potential security flaws inherent in different languages
  • Experience in API development/testing and API security
  • Established experience with Agile and software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices
  • Experience with GCP, Containers, and Serverless technologies
Technical Skills

You will need hands-on experience with SAST, DAST, Jira, and Confluence tools, as well as integrating security incident workflows. You should also have knowledge of security technologies like firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption.
