Papaya Global - Engineering Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Engineering Manager to join our team at Papaya Global. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for leading the development of our full-stack services, partnering with business stakeholders to analyze and document business requirements, and overseeing the design, implementation, and testing of thoughtful solutions and applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and lead high-performing engineering teams to develop and maintain our full-stack services.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to analyze, define, and document business requirements, ensuring alignment across functional areas.
  • Lead the design, implementation, testing, and enablement of solutions and applications that meet business needs.
  • Collaborate with product managers to design and solve UI/UX challenges.
  • Oversee and take responsibility for the successful completion and timeliness of Salesforce projects.
  • Produce and manage detailed project plans, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
  • Perform code reviews, evaluate implementations, and provide feedback on potential tool improvements.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest techniques in development and testing, and share knowledge with the team.

Requirements:

  • 12+ years of experience in full-stack and front-end development.
  • Experience in developing web applications using Spring and Microservices.
  • Experience with modern frameworks, such as Angular and React.
  • Experience with Java, TypeScript, and SQL/No-SQL Database systems.
  • Experience in Agile development, including continuous integration, continuous deployment, and coding for automated testing.
  • Experience in CI/CD deploying and maintaining in an AWS environment.
  • Experience in writing developer tests (Unit, component, etc.).
  • Experience with ES6, Git, npm, and HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
  • Experience in front-end software architecture in significant projects.
  • Independent, responsible, and communicative, with a passion for improving software quality through self-learning.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in Queuing technologies like Kafka and RabbitMQ.
  • Experience in Payroll or Payments domain.
