IT Operations Manager

The role of the IT Operations Manager involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of the IT department. This entails managing IT infrastructure, ensuring the availability and reliability of IT systems, and leading a team of IT professionals.

This position requires strong technical expertise, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in IT operations. A strategic thinker who can align IT Operations with business objectives while ensuring the security, scalability, and reliability of Technology is essential.

  • Supervise IT Operations: Assist in managing the IT operations team to ensure the smooth operation of all IT systems, including servers, networks, and applications.
  • Assist in supervising and mentoring IT staff, providing guidance and support.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Monitor Systems Performance: Regularly monitor system performance and take proactive measures to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of all IT systems and data. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Incident Management: Oversee incident management processes, ensuring that incidents are resolved quickly and effectively to minimize impact on business operations.
  • Infrastructure Management: Assist in the planning, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure projects, including upgrades and new installations.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the IT operations team, including training, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Security Compliance: Ensure IT operations comply with security policies and procedures to protect the integrity and confidentiality of company data.
  • Implement and manage security measures to protect data and IT infrastructure.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of IT operations.
  • Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for IT issues escalated by the IT support team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud services.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of IT professionals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
