Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and selecting vendors/suppliers for various project-related materials.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, coordination, and documentation skills, as well as strong knowledge of procurement processes, mechanical and electrical equipment/materials, and vendor development.

  • Prepare and process purchase orders in line with project requirements and company policies.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to ensure cost-effective procurement.
  • Coordinate with project, design, and site teams to understand technical requirements.
  • Maintain vendor database, evaluate supplier performance, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Follow up with suppliers for order acknowledgment, dispatch details, and logistics tracking.

The successful candidate will possess a degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering and have 5-7 years of experience in procurement or a related field.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Procurement Planning: Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to meet project requirements.
  2. Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and select reliable vendors/suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  3. Purchase Order Processing: Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies and project requirements.
  4. Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors/suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement.
  5. Supply Chain Coordination: Coordinate with project, design, and site teams to ensure smooth supply chain operations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in procurement or a related field.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, mechanical and electrical equipment/materials, and vendor development.
