Senior Risk Management Executive

About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Risk Management Executive to spearhead the development of our risk-based annual Internal Audit plan. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional with expertise in risk management and internal auditing to lead the execution of the audit plan, ensuring timely delivery and reporting to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and finalize vendors for program activities execution.
  • Lead the execution of the Internal Audit Plan (in-house or outsourced) as approved by the audit committee, ensuring timely delivery and reporting to stakeholders.
  • Oversee functional audits (in-house or outsourced) as per the annual plan approved by the audit committee.
  • Monitor and report open Internal Audit observations to stakeholders every month.
  • Leverage follow-up audits to assess the efficacy and effectiveness of management's remediation on noted internal audit reviews.
  • Develop and maintain Internal Audit SOPs, including templates, protocols, and documentation requirements.
  • Create a repository of audit programs, checklists, templates, and tools for standardization and consistency in the internal audit process.
  • Design and develop audit support tools to enhance audit process quality and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the Risk Management function to identify and assess entity and functional level risks.
  • Contribute to the risk identification and assessment program for emerging risks identified during internal audit execution.
  • Utilize risk assessment output to inform internal audit planning and execution.

Requirements & Qualifications

For this role, we require:

Essential Education:

Chartered Accountant

Desired Education:

CIA, CISA, CWA

Experience:

10-15 years of experience in implementing, delivering, and embedding risk management at strategic and operational levels.

Proven experience in undertaking audits across diverse areas of the organization.

Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to interface and influence all levels of management.

Well-equipped with knowledge/skills in corporate governance, internal audit, and risk management domains.
