Job Opportunity: Senior Software Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced software development expert to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of search solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop Advanced Search Functionality: Utilize modern search technologies (e.g., Elasticsearch, Solr) to create high-quality, scalable search applications with a focus on relevancy, performance, and user experience.
  • Design and Optimize Search Algorithms: Create and optimize search algorithms, ranking models, and retrieval methods to improve search quality and user satisfaction.
  • Knowledge Graph Creation: Design and implement Knowledge Graphs from various corporate data sources to enhance search capabilities.
  • Query Understanding and Relevance Scoring: Implement and fine-tune query understanding, text analysis, and relevance scoring to improve search results.
  • Search Infrastructure Maintenance: Analyze and maintain existing search infrastructure and applications to ensure optimal performance.
  • A/B Testing and Performance Optimization: Design and execute A/B tests to measure search quality improvements and monitor and optimize search performance metrics.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Science, or related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of software development experience, with at least 3 years focused on search solutions.
  • Programming Skills: Strong proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python, or similar).
  • Search Engine Experience: Hands-on experience with search engines (Elasticsearch, Solr) and strong understanding of information retrieval concepts (TF-IDF, BM25, vector search).
  • Database Expertise: Expertise in SQL databases and experience with NoSQL solutions.
  • NLP and Text Processing: Experience with text processing, NLP, and relevance tuning.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
