About this role:

Our client is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to join their team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and technical requirements for data integration use cases involving IBM ITX.

You will interpret and map HIPAA X12 EDI transaction sets to system data models and ITX transformations. Additionally, you will work closely with solution architects to define interface specifications, source-to-target mappings, and validation rules.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience as a Technical or Integration Business Analyst. Strong working knowledge of HIPAA X12 EDI transaction sets and experience working with or supporting IBM ITX projects are also required.

In this role, you will prepare Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), Data Mapping Specs, and interface control documents (ICDs). You will also support ITX developers in translating business requirements into technical design artifacts and testable maps.

You will conduct gap analysis, impact analysis, and facilitate design walkthroughs with business and technical teams. Collaboration with QA teams to define test scenarios, acceptance criteria, and assist in defect triage is also expected.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements for data integration use cases involving IBM ITX.
  • Interpret and map HIPAA X12 EDI transaction sets to system data models and ITX transformations.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as a Technical or Integration Business Analyst.
  • Strong working knowledge of HIPAA X12 EDI transaction sets.
  • Experience working with or supporting IBM ITX projects.
  • Ability to understand and document source-to-target data mappings.
  • Proficiency in analyzing flat files, XML, JSON, and CSV formats.
  • Hands-on experience with data flow diagrams, interface specs, and business rules.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with API-based integrations, SFTP transfers, and middleware technologies.
  • Understanding of integration architecture (e.g., ESB, message queues).
  • Experience working alongside ITX developers, architects, and QA engineers.
