Your expertise will be crucial in overseeing compliance with Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) regulations related to AIFs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Regulatory Compliance & SEBI Filings: Ensure the AIF is in full compliance with SEBI regulations and other applicable legal frameworks. Prepare and file timely reports, forms, and returns to SEBI and other regulatory bodies, including regular compliance reports, investor disclosures, and fund updates.
  • Corporate Governance: Serve as a strategic advisor to the board of directors on governance and compliance matters. Ensure adherence to corporate governance best practices and facilitate board meetings, committee meetings, and annual general meetings (AGMs) as per regulatory norms.
  • Investor Relations & Reporting: Prepare and circulate periodic reports to investors, including updates on regulatory compliance and fund operations. Ensure transparency in communication with investors regarding any material changes, fund governance, or legal risks.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Qualified Company Secretary (CS)
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in compliance, governance, or legal functions, preferably within an AIF, private equity, venture capital, or asset management firm.
