Job Title:

A seasoned Risk Manager is sought after by Advanced Financial Solutions to lead specialized risk management functions within the Enterprise Risk Management practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain policies/guidelines on treasury/investment/ALM/liquidity risk monitoring.
  • Perform valuation of treasury portfolios, including forex, fixed income, derivatives, equity, and others.
  • Provide independent mid-office monitoring support on non-performance, fixed income, financial institutions group, derivatives, limit monitoring, and more.
  • Maintain periodic hedge effectiveness monitoring and implement capital charge and counterparty risk charge calculation.
  • Conduct technical analysis of equities, bonds, and money market funds.
  • Monitor limits for treasury activities as per internal and regulatory policies.
  • Reconcile MTM with counterparties for derivatives deals and make/respond to margin calls via CSA arrangements.
  • Prepare regulatory and internal daily and periodical reports and board notes for timely submission.
  • Enhance methodologies for counterparty credit risk measures like potential future exposure and credit value adjustment.
  • Review new bank products related to market risk and provide risk mitigation controls.

Liquidity Risk and ALM Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and simulate liquidity coverage ratio/negative stable funding ratio.
  • Rigorous monitoring and risk reporting on maturity of asset-liability management products.
  • Set limits for MAL/SAL using statistical modeling techniques.
  • Generate interest rate risk on the bank's book basis IRRBB or via sensitivity report analysis like net interest income and economic value of equity.
  • Good understanding of behavioral studies of ALM products.
  • End-to-end implementation experience of ALM/market risk systems.
  • Pricing/hedging of banking products across asset classes (rates, FX, bonds).
  • Familiarity with stress testing of liquidity and interest rate risk.
  • Knowledge of ICAAP, RAROC, FTP methodologies, and RAS is preferred.
  • Handling audit queries and providing active assistance in audit.

Requirements:

  • 6-8 years of relevant work experience in Middle East banks.
