Content Editor Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Content Editor to refine articles, craft compelling titles and collaborate with writers and publishers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Edit and proofread content ensuring consistency, accuracy and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Take full responsibility for editing complete articles, making necessary changes or re-writing sentences to enhance clarity and impact.
  • Develop creative and engaging titles that capture reader attention and optimize for web visibility.
  • Provide feedback and learning to new writers, mentoring them to quickly become proficient in our content standards and style.
  • Ensure all web content consistently meets visitor needs and interests, driving engagement and value.
  • Maintain interaction with Publishers, Writers and Social Marketers to streamline workflows and content distribution.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, understanding of Web writing requirements including keyword use, hyperlinks and navigation.
  • A keen eye for detail, excellent spelling, grammar and punctuation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite of products.
  • Familiarity with publishing software is an advantage.
  • Experience in content management, blog writing, WordPress and SEO is an advantage.
  • A background in digital online publishing is highly desirable.
