Job Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Senior Automation Engineer with a proven track record in developing and maintaining robust automation frameworks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java, Selenium WebDriver, and BDD methodologies, as well as experience with API testing using Rest Assured and other industry-standard tools.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing comprehensive test automation solutions across web applications, APIs, and databases. They will also lead code reviews, optimize existing automation scripts, and enforce best coding practices.

In addition to technical expertise, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor junior engineers and drive process improvements.

Key Responsibilities :
  • Technical Leadership & Execution :
    • Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Java, Selenium WebDriver, and BDD methodologies
    • Implement comprehensive test automation solutions across web applications, APIs, and databases
    • Lead code reviews, optimize existing automation scripts, and enforce best coding practices
    • Troubleshoot complex technical issues independently with minimal guidance
  • Quality Assurance & Testing :
    • Execute functional and automated API testing using Rest Assured and other industry-standard tools
    • Perform data manipulation and validation across multiple formats (JSON, XML, Excel, Word)
    • Conduct thorough database testing using SQL/MySQL with complex query optimization
  • Project & Process Management :
    • Proactively communicate task status, completion updates, and resource requirements
    • Manage timesheet accuracy and support invoicing processes
    • C coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables meet quality standards
Required Skills and Qualifications :
  • Core Automation Stack :
    • Programming : Java (10+ years experience)
    • Automation Tools : Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber, TestNG, JUnit, Serenity
    • Build Tools : Maven
    • Version Control : Git
    • CI/CD : Jenkins pipeline configuration and management along with AWS intricacies to handle Secrets Manager usage and cloud reporting to S3 bucket.
  • Testing Expertise :
    • API Testing : Rest Assured, Postman, functional and automation testing
    • Data Handling : JSON/XML parsing and manipulation, Excel/Word processing
    • Database : SQL/MySQL query writing and optimization
