Job Description

The role of a Senior Budget Analyst involves assisting the team in maintaining financial accuracy by ensuring that all planned budgets are up-to-date and reconciled against actuals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing budget data, identifying key insights, and developing reports and visualizations to present to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with cross-functional teams to gather and maintain accurate budget data.
  • Reconcile budgets against internal data and external reports from Finance to ensure consistency.
  • Analyze budget data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement standard processes for budget management.
  • Manage complex budget files using advanced Excel skills.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, commerce, accounting, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a finance or accounting function.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency in creating and editing cross-sheet dependencies, macros, and advanced functions.
  • Experience working with complex budgets and financial systems.
  • Familiarity with software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
