Frontend Team Lead Position

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Frontend Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for leading frontend initiatives and development across critical fintech platforms.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, technical expertise in Node.js and Angular, and experience working with cross-functional teams. You will be responsible for architecting, designing, and implementing scalable web applications, collaborating with product managers and stakeholders to define technical requirements, and driving technical decisions.

In this role, you will also oversee sprint planning, task assignments, and Agile ceremonies, ensuring code quality, maintainability, and security standards are followed. Additionally, you will identify and mitigate risks early in the development cycle and suggest technical improvements.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of frontend developers, conducting code reviews and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Architect, design, and implement scalable web applications using Node.js and Angular frameworks.
  • Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, backend engineers, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and deliver high-impact features.
  • Drive technical decisions, ensure adherence to best practices, and resolve architectural and performance issues.
  • Oversee sprint planning, task assignments, and Agile ceremonies.
  • Ensure code quality, maintainability, and security standards are followed.
  • Identify and mitigate risks early in the development cycle and suggest technical improvements.
Requirements
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Deep experience with Angular (v6+ preferred), RxJS, and Angular CLI.
  • Expertise in Node.js with Express and understanding of middleware and server-side scripting.
  • Solid understanding of front-end tools and build systems such as Webpack, npm, etc.
  • Experience in RESTful API integration and working with backend teams on API design.
  • Version control expertise using Git (GitHub/GitLab).
  • Knowledge of responsive design, browser compatibility, and performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with databases like MongoDB, MySQL.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver complex frontend systems across multiple releases.
  • Fintech or banking domain exposure is an added advantage.
