Job Description:

The Business Intelligence Platform Administrator will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of the MicroStrategy platform.

This includes working with various MicroStrategy products and leveraging Python, SQL, and automation skills to monitor, maintain, and improve MIcroStrategy environments.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with clients and analysts to identify optimal technical solutions, utilize and improve established processes, and contribute to the Managed Solutions team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Install, configure, and maintain the MicroStrategy platform.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
  • Implementing and managing security roles, access controls, and authentication mechanisms within MicroStrategy to ensure data security and compliance with organizational policies.
  • Manage user access and permissions.
  • Work with clients and analysts to gather requirements and design solutions.
  • Provide training and support to users.
  • Develop workflows to automate administrative functions utilizing tools such as Python, MicroStrategys Rest API, and System Manager.
  • Monitor system performance, identifying bottlenecks, and optimizing system resources (CPU, memory, disk space) to ensure efficient operation and scalability.
  • Provide technical support to MicroStrategy users, troubleshooting issues, and answering questions related to report development, data access, and platform functionality.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest MicroStrategy features and best practices.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you'll need at least 2 years of experience working with the MicroStrategy Analytics Platform in an administrative capacity.

A strong understanding of MicroStrategy architecture and components is essential, along with experience with MicroStrategy installation, configuration, and administration.

You should also have experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting, managing environments with heavy utilization of intelligence cubes and high volumes of subscriptions.

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience is required.
