Job Title: Digital Circuit Designer

We are seeking a skilled Digital Circuit Designer to join our team. As a key member of our design group, you will play a crucial role in the development of high-performance digital systems.

Your primary responsibility will be to design and implement complex digital circuits using VHDL/Verilog, ensuring optimal performance, power consumption, and area efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Circuit Design: Define DSP, System, and Board architecture based on customer requirements, specifications, and tender enquiries.
  • Project Ownership: Own projects from concept to delivery, including risk identification, dependency creation, mitigation planning, project schedule tracking, customer discussions, and design reviews.
  • Algorithm Partitioning: Divide algorithms for implementation in FPGA and/or software, identifying building blocks and signal processing functions.
  • Resource Estimation: Provide estimates on FPGA resources, computation bandwidth, and memory bandwidth.
  • Module Level Details: Create module-level details from architecture, coding, simulation, and peer reviews, applying methodologies for design, verification, or validation.
  • Documentation: Define, create, and maintain all project-related documentation, especially design documents with detailed analysis reports.
  • Customer Support: Provide support to customers during integration phases at test sites and support production teams.
  • Architecture Definition: Define the architecture of RTL functions.
  • HDL Coding: Perform HDL coding.
  • Simulation and Implementation: Conduct simulation and implementation tasks.
  • Testing and Debugging: Test on board and debug the system.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • VHDL knowledge
  • Xilinx tools for synthesis and implementation
  • Thorough understanding of Xilinx FPGAs
  • Functional Simulation
  • Hardware Design: Logic Design & Debugging expertise
  • FPGA Design: VHDL/Verilog RTL Coding, System C/ System Verilog
  • FPGA Synthesis & PAR Tools
  • Implementing DSP algorithms in FPGA environment for Radar and Electronic Warfare systems
  • Modeling algorithms in Octave/MATLAB, generating test vectors, visualizing data
  • Working knowledge on interfacing with ADCs and DACs and interpreting their performance
  • Fluency, good communication, and presentation skills
  • Configuration/Version control tools like SVN
