Job Title: Litigation Associate

Key Responsibilities:- Contract Oversight & Legal Documentation:
- Assist in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts with clients, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with relevant laws and regulations.
- Conduct thorough legal research and support the preparation of briefs and reports.
- Collaborate with internal teams to mitigate contractual risks and optimize terms that protect the organization's interests.
- Compliance:
- Assist in monitoring and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Stay updated on legal developments, assess their impact, and provide guidance to the organization.
- Assist in responding to regulatory inquiries and audits.
- Collaborate with different departments to ensure company-wide compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and maintain statutory registers and records.
- Organize board and committee meetings, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Handle filings with regulatory authorities, including annual returns and other statutory submissions.
- Corporate Governance:
- Support the legal team in corporate governance matters, including board resolutions, meeting minutes, and regulatory filings.
- Ensure proper maintenance of corporate records and documentation.
- Risk Mitigation:
- Assist in identifying potential legal and regulatory risks, proactively assess their impact on the organization, and implement effective risk mitigation strategies.
- Process Efficiency & Communications:
- Assist in executing legal and compliance tasks efficiently and in line with best practices.
- Provide support in drafting legal documents and maintain clear communication within the legal team and other departments.
- Help bridge communication between the legal team and other departments, ensuring that legal considerations are understood and incorporated into the company's broader operations.
- Organize and document meetings related to legal and compliance issues.
- General Support:
- Provide general legal support to the legal and compliance team.
- Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and other collaborative efforts.
