Job Summary

The MEP Project Engineer will oversee the design, implementation, and supervision of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for high-rise, residential, or commercial buildings. This role requires experience in fire protection systems, project management skills, and proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Word, and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement project plans to meet stringent financial, quality, and time-bound targets.
  • Manage task-oriented groups and coordinate with contractors, laborers, and vendors to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Inspect work sites for code compliance and safety hazards, and facilitate problem-solving among subcontractors, clients, and vendors.
  • Validate design issues related to fire fighting and suggest alternative solutions.
  • Coordinate and administer fire fighting related materials, systems, and shop drawings submittals.
  • Ensure billing is done on a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering with proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Word, and MS Excel.
  • Excellent exposure to fire fighting systems, sprinkler systems, and fire alarm systems.
  • Project management skills with experience in managing task-oriented groups and planning within stringent financial, quality, and time-bound targets.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Validating design issues related to fire fighting and suggesting alternative solutions.
  • Coordination and administration of fire fighting related materials, systems, and shop drawings submittals.
  • Ensuring billing is done on a timely manner.
