About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Solutions Architect to join our team at SNP Technologies, Inc. As a Cloud Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud-based solutions for our clients. Your expertise in Azure migrations and solution designing will be invaluable in helping us deliver high-quality services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessing client infrastructure for Azure migration and providing recommendations for cloud cost, compatibility, and migration roadmap
  • Designing and implementing cloud-native solutions in Azure to host customer applications
  • Automating large-scale and repeatable deployments using ARM Templates, Terraform, or Ansible
  • Optimizing Azure cost using the Azure Well-Architected Framework model, Azure Advisor, and cost management tools
  • Migrating databases to Azure using DMA/DMS and setting up backup and disaster recovery for Azure infrastructure
  • Deploying and configuring basic and advanced availability groups and always-on availability groups for SQL servers in a single region and multiple Azure regions
  • Modernizing applications using Azure PAAS services like Azure App Service, Azure SQL DB, Azure SQL MI, Azure Database for MySQL, and Azure Database for PostgreSQL

Requirements

5-7 years of experience with Azure migrations and solution designing

7-10 years of experience with VMWare Virtualization, vSAN Management, vMotion, VMWare HCX Migrations, VMWare SRM, Active Directory & DNS Management, Backup

5+ years of job-related experience deploying, maintaining, and managing Azure infrastructures, infra and application deployment pipelines

Deep understanding of DevOps principles and experience with configuring and running CI/CD platforms such as Azure DevOps

Hands-on experience with Terraform and Azure Deployment Manager

Deep understanding/strong working experience of CI/CD with Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Ansible, etc

Deep understanding/strong experience of Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Azure Deployment Manager

Hands-on experience in Azure using Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Functions, Azure App Service

Infrastructure monitoring, logging & alerting with Azure Monitor, Prometheus/Grafana

Hands-on experience in debugging complex issues

Hands-on experience in at least one of the scripting languages (Python / PowerShell / Bash etc.)

Implementation/Administration/Troubleshoot/Support experience with following

Server Infrastructure Migration from On-prem Hyper-v/VMWare/Physical to Azure

Other Private/Public Cloud Platform to Azure

Experience with following assessment tools

Azure Migrate

Database Migration Assistant

App Service Migration Assistant

Movere

Experience with following migration tools

Azure Site Recovery/Azure Migrate

Carbonite/Doubletake

Experience with following disaster recovery tools

Azure Site Recovery

Veeam/Zerto/SRM
