The Assistant IT Operations Manager will support the IT Operations Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the IT department. This role involves managing IT infrastructure, ensuring the availability and reliability of IT systems, and leading a team of IT professionals.">This role requires a strategic thinker who can align IT Operations with business objectives while ensuring the strategic goals security, scalability, and reliability of our Technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Monitor Systems Performance: Regularly monitor system performance and take proactive measures to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of all IT systems and data. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Incident Management: Oversee incident management processes, ensuring that incidents are resolved quickly and effectively to minimize impact on business operations.
  • Infrastructure Management: Assist in the planning, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure projects, including upgrades and new installations.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the IT operations team, including training, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Security Compliance: Ensure IT operations comply with security policies and procedures to protect the integrity and confidentiality of company data.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and ensure services are delivered as per agreements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of IT operations.
  • Support: Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for IT issues escalated by the IT support team.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers to ensure high-quality service delivery and support.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field is required. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent leadership skills, and at least 5 years of experience in IT operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

Strong technical knowledge of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud services is essential.

Relevant certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or similar are preferred.

A deep understanding of IT service management (ITSM) and IT service operations management is also necessary.

Experience in project management and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously is an added advantage.

A strong communication skill, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders is required.

Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and practices is also desired.
