Our company is seeking an experienced software engineer to join our team and help design and implement a transformative AI-powered search and engagement platform.

This innovative platform will revolutionize static search into a guided, personalized experience for users. The successful candidate will work closely with architects, frontend developers, and AI/ML engineers to deliver a secure and scalable system.


About the Role

We are looking for a skilled backend engineer to develop and maintain high-quality backend services on AWS. This includes building APIs, data flows, and integrations that power the platform.


Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement efficient backend services using AWS technologies (Lambda, API Gateway) for search, feedback, tasks, and analytics.
  • Develop and implement search and retrieval features in OpenSearch (keyword + vector search, ranking).
  • Create pipelines to enrich content with relevant tags, lay terms, and related data.
  • Capture user interaction signals (clicks, ratings, dwell time) and process them for re-ranking and analytics.
  • Develop and document APIs for use by web, iOS, and Android clients.
  • Ensure performance targets and compliance standards are met.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Hands-on experience building backend services with AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, Kinesis).
  • Strong knowledge of OpenSearch/Elasticsearch (indexing, search queries).
  • Experience designing and scaling APIs (REST/GraphQL, OpenAPI).
  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures and basic data pipelines.
  • Proficiency in at least one backend language (Python or Node.js preferred).
  • Understanding of secure coding practices; exposure to compliance-sensitive environments.
