Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Equity Research Analyst to join our organization in a key role. As a member of our research team, you will be responsible for conducting market analysis and generating fresh stock ideas.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough channel checks and collect insights from the market on companies in the sector. Translate qualitative insights into quantitative data, incorporating the findings into financial models to assess potential impacts on company margins and valuations.
  • Research Support: Collaborate with the Lead Analyst/Head of Research to support new stock initiations and contribute to the generation of fresh stock ideas; research is published exclusively for institutional investors.
  • Data Management: Create, maintain, and update data in financial models, along with tables and graphs that clearly illustrate the information.
  • Databases: Develop databases integral to our research product.
  • Industry Knowledge: Demonstrate strong industry knowledge and business acumen.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with other Analysts/Head of Research to develop key industry themes.
  • Relationship Building: Build relationships and facilitate information flow with contacts at covered companies.
  • Client Engagement: Participate and contribute to client meetings and events.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or relevant field.
  • 4-7 years of experience in equity research, sell-side, or power industry.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate qualitative insights into quantitative data.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with financial models and database management.
