Entry-Level Data Engineer

This role involves working as a junior engineer on data engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with software development principles, data structures, and algorithms.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in building data pipelines and automation scripts using Python.
  • Supporting the implementation of analytical algorithms under guidance from senior engineers.
  • Developing and testing API endpoints for seamless integration.
  • Working with various databases for efficient data extraction and basic queries.
  • Contributing to comprehensive documentation and testing processes.

The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in software development principles, excellent understanding of data structures and algorithms, familiarity with SQL and database concepts, and knowledge of Git version control and web development frameworks.

Preferred qualifications include academic projects involving data analysis or machine learning, experience with popular Python libraries like Pandas and NumPy, basic cloud platform exposure, and knowledge of big data analytics tools.

Technical requirements include proficiency in languages such as Python and SQL, experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud Platform, and knowledge of databases such as PostgreSQL/MySQL, Neo4j, and BigQuery.

Requirements for this position include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, eagerness to learn new technologies, good communication and teamwork abilities, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
