Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloudflare WAF Security Expert to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our Cloudflare WAF setup to ensure maximum protection against web-based threats.

Your primary focus will be on tuning policies to minimize false positives and enable comprehensive protection against the OWASP Top 10 list. You will also be responsible for monitoring web traffic anomalies, bot activity, and taking proactive measures to prevent potential attacks.

In this role, you will work closely with application teams to validate WAF configurations before production rollout and troubleshoot WAF blocks, performance issues, and content caching anomalies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience with Cloudflare WAF or equivalent (e.g., Akamai, AWS WAF).
  • An in-depth understanding of web protocols, application headers, and TLS.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps pipelines and app security standards.

  • Generate reports for application owners and participate in threat modeling exercises.
  • Assist L3 in rule set upgrades, custom signatures, and API security enhancements.
  • Participate in DR drills and ensure WAF availability in failover scenarios.
