Shift Manager Position

The Shift Manager is accountable for leading site operations during their shift by taking full responsibility and ownership in the absence of senior leadership. This role requires the Shift Manager to be a key driver in motivating and engaging shift teams to deliver manufacturing goals with respect to safety, quality, and cost.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manufacturing Objectives: Ensure planned CBN commitments and associated factory KPIs are met by effectively organizing shift resources and activities, and/or supporting troubleshooting activities.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Manage PM activities to schedule and ensure the shift team is properly trained to maintain operational efficiency and reliability.
  • Technology Advancement: Recommend improvements related to advancing the area through technological change, resulting in new and improved equipment and/or methods to minimize production costs and improve quality.
  • Change Agent: Recommend and implement changes in methods, equipment, systems, and organization as needed to assure that objectives are met.
  • Ara Strategy: Support associates in implementing improvement strategies that will help areas perform more effectively in the near term and future.
  • Associate Advocacy: Drive associate engagement through a foundation of teamwork and involvement, manage and develop direct reports, including talent management, people evaluation, and engagement, to enable appropriate succession planning and career development.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • HSE: Ensure the safety of all associates and contractors working in the plant, safety of our products, property, and all activities in the plant, create an HSE culture through visible leadership, engaging teams, and effective deployment of the HSE Policy Management system.
  • Quality: Food Safety - Ensure effective implementation of Mars QMP (Quality Management Process) and food safety requirements, continuously improve performance through effective communication and capability building, contribute as a Food Safety Team member.
