Enterprise Network Specialist

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires the design, configuration, installation, and maintenance of enterprise network equipment. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of network vendor technologies and software, as well as experience with Cisco routers, switches, and routing protocols.

  • We are seeking an experienced network engineer to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing complex technical issues involving multiple technologies and resolving them efficiently. They will also be required to administer Cisco network equipment, configure and troubleshoot network equipment, and ensure that the network meets compliance standards.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
  • Eight years of experience with Cisco routers, switches and routing protocols.
  • Experience implementing Cisco ISE and Cisco DNA Center.
  • Experience with SD-WAN and/or SDN preferred.
  • Knowledge of networking in VMware, Docker and/or AWS environment preferred.
  • Experience with Python and Ansible preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Analyzing, designing, configuring, installing and managing enterprise network equipment.
  2. Maintaining knowledge of network vendor technologies and software.
  3. Administering Cisco network equipment including routers, switches and access points.
  4. Configuring and troubleshooting network equipment.
  5. Resolving complex technical issues involving multiple technologies.
  6. Assisting with installing and configuring voice gateways, integrated services routers and other infrastructure equipment.
  7. Working with carriers to configure and troubleshoot WAN circuits and equipment.
  8. Mentoring junior engineers.
  9. Ensuring network meets compliance standards.
  10. Providing on-call support for production systems.
  11. Overseeing diagnosis and troubleshooting activities.
  12. Performing configuration management using Ansible and other tools.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
  2. Eight years of experience with Cisco routers, switches and routing protocols.
