Job Title: Content Media Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled media specialist to create engaging video content for our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for selecting and implementing relevant media assets that enhance our video content while maintaining alignment with the narrative and client guidelines.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Select high-quality video and image assets from our partners and free usage catalogue that align perfectly with article content and client brand guidelines.
  2. Prioritize videos over images, preferring 16:9 aspect ratio content (using 9:16 only when necessary).
  3. Ensure all selected media is current by filtering for recent assets (within 72 hours to 1 month).
  4. Search effectively using our partner libraries and internal media search field.
  5. Document and attribute media sources to maintain licensing compliance.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  1. Experience in video production, digital content creation, or media curation.
  2. Strong visual storytelling instincts and understanding of narrative alignment.
  3. Excellent research skills for finding specific, relevant media assets.
  4. Proficiency with stock media platforms and free usage catalogues.
  5. Meticulous attention to detail and quality.
  6. Understanding of different video formats and aspect ratios.
  7. Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
Preferred Skills
  1. Background in journalism, media studies, or related fields.
  2. Experience with media asset management systems.
  3. Knowledge of brand guidelines implementation in video content.
  4. Understanding of media licensing and proper attribution practices.

Familiarity with our internal media management platform is a plus but not required.
