Junior Data Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to join our team as a Junior Data Analyst.

Job Description:

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for extracting, gathering, and processing raw data from various sources.
  • They will work closely with senior team members to support ongoing data projects and collaborate to provide actionable insights across all stages of the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Data Mining and Extraction: Perform data mining and scraping from various sources, including databases and APIs.
  2. Data Cleansing and Standardization: Ensure accuracy by carrying out data cleansing and standardization.
  3. Data Transformation and Storage: Transform raw data into structured formats for reporting and analysis, storing and managing data in Excel and SQL databases.
  4. Reporting and Analysis: Assist in preparing datasets for dashboards and reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Excel: Basic knowledge of Excel (formulas, pivot tables, lookups, MS Office).
  • SQL: Familiarity with SQL (basic queries, inserts, updates, joins).
  • Data Mining: Interest in data mining, scraping, and extraction techniques.
  • Data Cleaning: Understanding of data cleaning and transformation concepts.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Learning: Eagerness to learn new tools, technologies, and data workflows.

Good to Have (Optional):

  • Python: Exposure to Python (pandas, Beautiful Soup, requests).
  • Power BI/Tableau: Experience with Power BI / Tableau for reporting.
  • APIs: Knowledge of APIs for data extraction.
