Job Title: Health, Safety and Environment Manager

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining a comprehensive Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) strategy aligned with the organization's overall business objectives.

  • Develop, implement and maintain a comprehensive HSE strategy
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable Acts, HSE regulations, standards and permits
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate control measures
  • Investigate and analyze incidents to determine root causes, implement corrective actions and prevent recurrence
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans, conduct regular drills and ensure the organization is prepared to handle emergencies effectively
  • Develop and deliver HSE training programs to employees at all levels
  • Track and report on key HSE performance indicators, identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement in HSE performance through initiatives such as audits, inspections and benchmarking
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health or a related field, minimum 5+ years of experience in HSE management, preferably in a metal & mining industry, and approved Safety officer as per Odisha Factory Act.
