Microsoft Data Solutions Engineer

The ideal candidate will design, build, and optimize end-to-end data solutions using Microsoft's cutting-edge technologies such as Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks, and Power BI.

Your work will involve implementing contemporary data architecture patterns, creating robust data pipelines, and delivering actionable analytics to inform business decisions.

Main Responsibilities
  • Data Engineering & Architecture:
  • Design and implement scalable data processing solutions using ADF, Microsoft Fabric, Synapse, and Databricks.
  • Develop and optimize real-time, batch, and BYOD data pipelines.
  • Data Modeling & Analytics:
  • Create semantic models and dimensional models in Power BI for enterprise dashboards and self-service analytics.
  • Implement row-level security, complex DAX measures, and model optimizations.
  • Platform Operations & Governance:
  • Apply DataOps practices, monitoring, and performance tuning for data quality and governance.
  • Integrate predictive analytics with Azure ML where required.
Key Requirements
  • 5-7 years of experience in data engineering with a strong focus on Microsoft technologies.
  • Strong expertise in Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks, Power BI, SQL, T-SQL, Spark SQL, Python/Scala, DAX, and Power Query (M).
  • Experience with real-time streaming and batch processing.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate / Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate / Power BI Data Analyst Associate.
  • Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, or related field (master's preferred).
