Senior Financial Operations Manager

Job Description:

The Senior Financial Operations Manager plays a critical role in leading the accounting operations of our organization, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, and driving compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compliance: Lead and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and local tax laws.
  • Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for legal entities, in accordance with US GAAP and Local GAAP.
  • Accounting Operations: Drive accounting operations for procure-to-pay processes, including expense management and balance sheet transactions.
  • Cash Management: Oversee daily cash positioning, multi-currency fund transfers, and coordination with front/middle office and banks for timely settlements.
  • People/Stakeholder Management: Manage a team of accounting professionals, guide them in controllership functions, and ensure timely and accurate reporting of revenue activities.

Requirements:

  • Skillset: Proficiency in MS Office, Zohobooks, and QuickBooks; deep understanding of India and US GAAP accounting principles and procedures; familiarity with the SaaS business model and key metrics.
  • Experience: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA); overall experience of about 4-6 years; experience working at a funded start-up for 2+ years; prior experience hiring/performing annual appraisals and team management is a plus.
  • Mindset: Growth mindset with the ability to anticipate future needs and adapt efficiently; passion for learning and continuous improvement; curiosity to independently explore and analyze data to gain insights into the trajectory of our business.
