Job Overview

This is a dynamic role that requires a unique blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and interpersonal skills. As a Senior AV Systems Manager, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining AV systems, acoustic environments, and smart classroom technologies across our institution.

Responsibilities
  • AV System Management:
    • Develop and implement comprehensive AV system strategies to enhance learning outcomes and student engagement.
    • Design and configure AV equipment, including projectors, screens, speakers, microphones, and video conferencing systems.
    • Provide technical support to faculty, students, and staff during classes, meetings, and events.
  • Acoustic Environment Optimization:
    • Conduct site assessments to identify areas for acoustic improvement.
    • Implement soundproofing and acoustic treatments to ensure clear and high-quality audio.
    • Monitor and adjust audio settings for optimal sound quality during events and presentations.
  • Smart Classroom Integration:
    • Coordinate the setup and integration of smart classroom technologies, including interactive whiteboards, document cameras, educational software, etc.
    • Train educators and staff on the effective use of smart classroom technology.
    • Stay current with emerging technologies in the EdTech industry and recommend upgrades as needed.
  • Technical Support and Documentation:
    • Maintain an inventory of AV equipment and spare parts.
    • Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for AV and smart classroom systems.
    • Generate regular reports on the performance and usage of AV equipment.
  • Collaboration and Compliance:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, education, and facilities, to ensure the seamless integration of technology into the learning environment.
    • Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations in the use of AV and smart classroom technology.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in managing AV systems, acoustic environments, and smart classroom technologies.
  • Proven track record of delivering successful AV projects and improving learning outcomes.
  • Strong knowledge of acoustic principles and audio equipment.
  • Familiarity with smart classroom technologies and software applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
