Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to lead our team in designing, implementing, and managing cloud network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have around 6-8 years of experience in data center networking and 1-3 years of experience in Software Defined Networking (SDN) specifically in private cloud and virtualization domains.

  1. Cloud Network Architecture and Design: Develop and implement robust cloud network architecture and design principles to ensure high availability, flexibility, and performance.
  2. Network Performance and SLA Management: Ensure that the cloud network infrastructure meets or exceeds Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and maintain a high level of network performance.
  3. Infrastructure Documentation and Maintenance: Maintain, update, and review infrastructure documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  4. Collaboration and Team Leadership: Work collaboratively with the client and team members on day-to-day changes, incidents, and requests. Lead a team of Network Engineers, providing technical expertise and guidance as needed.
  5. Performance Monitoring and Analysis: Proactively monitor and analyze key performance metrics and trends to assess risks, business impact, and provide recommendations.
  6. Solution Presentations and Technical Proposals: Prepare, review, and deliver differentiated solution presentations or technical proposals related to cloud network infrastructure.

Requirements:

  • At least 6-8 years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining DataCenter networks, L2/L3 technologies, Cisco/Juniper routers, switches, and wireless.
  • Strong fundamentals and understanding of WAN & Routing technologies, Security technologies, Switching technologies, and Network monitoring Protocols & Tools.
  • Familiarity with QoS including basic QoS commands and implementations.
  • Good knowledge of SDN Technologies, preferably hands-on experience on any one of the SDN providers – VMWare NSX, Juniper Contrail/Tungsten, Arista, Cisco.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills and the ability to quickly narrow down and resolve problems.
  • Highly motivated individual who is a self-starter and can demonstrate effective project management and completion of complex network tasks with little guidance.
  • Motivated learner – ability to quickly learn new technologies and keep networking skills current with emerging technologies.
  • Experience in handling a team of minimum 4 people in the above role.
