Job Title: Staff Analog Design Engineer

Onsemi is seeking a highly skilled Staff Analog Design Engineer to join our team in Bengaluru, India. This role is part of our Power Management group, responsible for developing innovative power management products for consumer, industrial, and automotive applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop analog IP blocks from definition to IP delivery
  • Collaborate with physical designers and monitor the progress of IP block layout
  • Work with validation, product engineering, and test engineering teams to enable Si performance measurement
  • Own technical outcomes of design, verification, implementation, and execution of power management IPs
  • Plan and execute work in a timely manner, aligning with full chip schedules
Requirements:
  • BS in Electrical Engineering or related field + 8 years of experience, or MS + 6 years of experience
  • Solid track record of delivering block/IP level design
  • Sound knowledge in CMOS analog design, CMOS fundamentals, and related simulation tools
  • Good communication skills for detailed technical presentations
  • Understanding of various power converters, including Buck, Boost, LDOs, gate drivers, comparators, and linear regulators
  • Experience in power converters like DC/DC, AC/DC, gate drivers, PMICs, etc. is a plus
  • Strong Analog IC design skills, debug of complex silicon problems using simulations and/or bench testing
  • Understanding of large power transistor (LDMOS) Design, Layout, and Robustness
  • Experience in system tools like Simplis or MATLAB for architectural simulations, Cadence Spectre for schematic capture, simulation, layout, and tape-out
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to quickly ramp on new systems and processes
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
